Calling all Comrades hiding out from Mother Russia, Commie Hilfiger is coming! I had the chance to chat with Yuri, Jay, Dmtry, Nikita, and Yugo from Commie Hilfiger, and found out why their reputation proceeds them. ”We don’t talk about Moscow,” said Yuri, when asked if they are really from Moscow. As retired KGB agents they understand what it means to uphold their anonymity. Commie Hilfiger started off as a four part band but added a fifth member, Yugo, to their ranks two years ago to help spread the word that the revolution is coming. Going on three years now, Hilfiger has been touring and playing venues across the country and are currently in the final production stages of a new video titled, “Cuban Missile Crisis”.

“We picked up musical instruments to hide our identity so certain people from Mother Russia will not find us,” said Yuri. Based out of Houston, TX, this punk rock band is making their way into the hearts of the American youth.
Drawing from the influences of Svetlana Boginskaya, the Olympic gymnast; Drago, from Rocky IV; and hesitant to say, the late Patrick Swayze from the movie “Red Dawn,” the band uses Dance Revolution http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbL4c8CldF0, their trademark dance, whom they claim was choreographed by Tommy Hilfiger and Britney Spears to convert the masses.

Music isn’t the only medium Commie Hilfiger is using to convert Americans. They are also branching out to open a franchise of burger joints called, Commie Burgers- where food is free, but we tell you what to order. Hilfiger is on tour this year hitting up San Antonio April 27th at Bone Shakers; San Marcos the 28th at Mr. Fest; Austin 29th at Red 7.
So when you hear the revolution has arrived and you see the red communist flag soaring in the air, raise your shot of vodka and give salute to Mother Russia and cheers, “Na Zdrowie.”
