When a talented four piece “garage pop” band began brainstorming for a group name, The Magnificent Snails was jokingly thrown into the mix and has since been their title on the road. The Snails are a unique addition to the Austin, Texas music scene who offer an extremely diverse sound. Each member incorporates their individual creativity with various instruments and genres as well as influences including Radiohead and Butch Walker.

Originally a trio, the Austin based band has evolved into what is now Rusty Galis (Guitar/Vocals), Charlie Mangone (Guitar/Keys), Chris Galis (Bass), and Cullen Faulk (Drums). They haven’t released any new recordings since there self-released EP, Baby Acid Trips, but fans and MR Fest attendees can expect an all new set-list during The Snails’ performance in April. “We have a bunch of plans in the pipeline,” they said. “We’re also getting ready to record a new single.” The band will make a Balcony TV appearance in late February.

The Magnificent Snails are fresh off their southern tour that kicked in January. At any of the Snails’ shows, fans can expect them to bring a lot of energy to the stage. “We really try to bring the house down every time we play,” they said. The Magnificent Snails said they look forward to branching out to San Marcos’ music scene during MR Fest. Local music junkies curious as to what kind of show these guys put on can check out the Magnificent Snails on March 2nd at Cheer Up Charlie’s in Austin, Texas.
